Coming from a musical theatre foundation, Mitchell Woodcock began his professional career at just 17 years old in the role of A-Rab in West Side Story. He went on to perform in productions including Wicked, Dirty Dancing, Kinky Boots, Chicago and Guys & Dolls, later taking on Dance Captain and Resident Choreographer roles on the international tour of West Side Story and the Australian production of Pippin. Just three months after relocating to New York City, Mitchell made his Broadway debut in The Outsiders as Chet.
As a choreographer, Mitchell is known for bringing a contemporary perspective to theatrical storytelling, reimagining traditional stage works for modern audiences. At age 26, he became the youngest recipient of the Helpmann Award for Best Choreography in a Musical for Saturday Night Fever. His theatre credits also include Elf The Musical at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall and Annie, starring Anthony Warlow, which gained international attention for the viral choreography of "Easy Street."
